A focus app that actually gets in your way. Set a session, pick the apps that eat your time, and MindFocus blocks them with a full-screen overlay until you're done — no dismissing it in two taps. An animal companion tracks your sessions and nudges you along, more encouragement than guilt trip. State: feature-complete and stable, running its final closed test before production. Looking for real usage over the two weeks, not just installs.
Please open it on most days, not just day one — Google checks session activity, not installs. Rough plan if it helps: Day 1 — set up, name your companion Day 2 — run a 10-min focus session Day 3 — add 2 apps to your block list Day 4 — try opening one of them, see the overlay Day 6 — run a 25-min session, check the timer holds Day 8 — run a session, check your stats look right Day 9 — try to break the blocker (force-close, reboot) Day 12 — send feedback via Play Store Day 14 — one last session No account or test credentials needed. Anything 2 minutes a day is plenty — I'll return the same on your app.
Mainly: does the blocking overlay actually hold? Force-close it, reboot, switch users, try recents — I want to know where it leaks, especially on OEM skins with aggressive battery management (Xiaomi, Oppo, Samsung). Also: does the session timer stay accurate in the background? Is the companion's tone motivating or annoying? And is onboarding clear without me explaining anything?
- Battery optimisation on some OEMs can delay session-end notifications. Known, working on it. - Companion animations can stutter on first launch after install. - Stats screen may lag a beat updating after a session ends.
